FOCI’s General Manager DD Hu Featured in Semiconductor Review

General Manager DD Hu of FOCI was recently interviewed by Semiconductor Review magazine in a special feature. The article delves into the challenges and innovative solutions for integrating optical fibers with silicon photonic chips. It highlights FOCI’s dedicated development of its ReLFACon technology.  

ReLFACon is a groundbreaking optical fiber array connection technology that redefines possibilities for high-density optical fiber packaging applications. Utilizing a compact 7mm-wide glass component and precision engineering, this innovation seamlessly integrates into standard manufacturing processes, enhancing data transmission efficiency while ensuring reliability and cost-effectiveness.  

General Manager Hu stated: "This is not just about achieving a physical connection. It's about optimizing data transmission from optical fibers to photonic integrated circuits, reaching the highest efficiency. FOCI provides comprehensive end-to-end connection solutions to meet the growing demands of high-bandwidth applications, from design to manufacturing."  

Looking ahead, FOCI plans to expand the application range of photonic integrated circuits (PICs), incorporating them into areas like automation and autonomous driving. ReLFACon will also play a pivotal role in supporting automotive autonomous driving systems, driving advancements in autonomous and other cutting-edge vehicle technologies.
